Branding
Type Design
The brand identity for a roofing company called TennysonRoofing using a diagonal slant as a core branding element that is shown throughout all outcomes to represent the sloping of a roof subtly. An entire collection of touch points both general and specific to a roofing business.
Using your Surname, create a logo/identity, stationary and other relevant brand touchpoints forr a small business eg, bakery, hairdressers etc.
A brand identity that uses diagonal grids and the SLANT as a core icon that is shown throughout all outcomes to represent the sloping of a pitched roof.
To create this custom typeface, I first created an angled grid based from the diagonal stroke angle in the N of the typeface, Forma DJR Display Light, which I used as a basis for the font that I then edited in illustrator. Finally, I imported all the edited glyphs and set them as alternate versions of the characters and discresionary ligatures allowing me to select which variant to use when typing using Opentype’s alternate glyphs feature, allowing for full customisation and choice when designing using any adobe software or Opentype compatible software.
